With a dedicated group of friends, map out some of the more prominent public benches in your city. Decide on a Saturday morning to break up in teams to decorate the benches to add beauty to the commonplace. Use patterned fabrics, vibrant paper and water colors, metallic foil in gold or silver with confetti, any material that can provide a temporary blessing for passerbys. Decorate the benches until they look like little temples of joy and with each bench add little notes that inspire hope. Leave short poems, affirmations, or inspirational quotes. Decorate each bench early in the morning before people take to the street so when the area starts to flow with foot traffic people find each bench with a spark of wonder.
