The Almost Perfect Diary

Perfection is an unattainable idea, a concept that seems to elude us despite how hard we try to grasp it. If we were able to experience perfection we might find ourselves eventually bored looking for a new and better variation of what we found. We become habituated and soon want something new or different. Nevertheless, like a higher form of happiness, perfection fuels our striving and our quest for things greater and more supreme. The almost perfect diary is a diary or blog that a person keeps with them through life identifying the most perfect things or places that meet with one’s affection.

At a park, in the street, on the ocean, in a bar – images of near perfection meet our eyes and introduce themselves to our open minds. The diary is a way of capturing, keeping, and upgrading these concepts over time.  It provides a place of reflection and revisiting these great archetypes of experience that give you pleasure. Your diary can contain any “almost perfect” thing organized in a personal catalog of experience and objects. It can contain the image of a perfect man or woman, the perfect poem, or lyrics to a song. You can capture images of a perfect sunset and replace it when you have found another more perfect one. Tie the diary and the vocabulary of bliss together and you can scribble in this diary with an almost perfect language to boot.
